10/1/2009 live music photo tryMy first try, it was my bad of not doing portrait photography that often. :' (
Sounds simple, but how to make ppl "live"?
Slower shutter speed? Underexposure? More close-ups?
Anyway I will make my try next time, and I appreciate fox, and rabbit of course, for their invaluable suggestions of building some key techniques when shooting a show exactly like this one. : )
One problem for Fujifilm S5 Pro working above ISO800/1000 is, however, all RAW images will be seriously underexposured when playing back on a computer (that's why you'll see noticeable noise on these photos as I've compensated those extremely dark areas by pushing exposure to MAX!), but it seems no problem at all if storing as JPEG. And I've noticed many ppl who owned S5 were suffering exactly the same problem... Maybe HS-V3 is the only resolution (I could't found this one on CD, so it never comes along with CD for free I think), lol.
Also you might notice the lighting in this show was relatively simple, just steady spot-light, no colour changing, no flashing, just steady. (2700-2750K)
